Frenemy Zone

It’s been quite a while hey, life tends to get in the way of living. After experiencing betrayal, I’ve decided to turn to the memoirs for one quick entry.

You see, I don’t get why people claim to be your friends, “I’m praying for you,” “I believe in you,” “I’m on your side,” but the same people are so quick to believe the worst of you. I  mean the worst! And when they hear this nasty rumour about you, they pounce on you, “how could you!?”

No, how could you! Then quicker than the weather in Capetown, they change and play the supportive friend, “I’m on your team dear” “we’re not fighting”… for real?

So, I’ve decided to stay away from such friends or frenemies or whatever they’re called. If you are going to believe whatever you hear about me without as much as giving me a chance to explain my side of the story, then you belong to the frenemy zone… Actually, it should be called ‘a vulture zone’. Who needs friends like these anyway.

A clever person once said, ‘It’s better to be alone, than to be in the company of fake friends.’

The year is drawing to an end, this is perfect time for spring cleaning. Have fun!
