5 ways to keep entertained while in quarantine

As coronavirus rages on, most around the world are in quarantine. This could be a good thing, it is a time to slow down and give the mind and body a chance to rest and relax. Modern life has been a rat race, time to slow down

  1. Learn a new hobby

How about learning a new hobby like, crocheting, knitting, jewelry making or drawing? Maybe you have a hidden talent that you never noticed as you ran from meeting to meeting. YouTube and Pinterest are great places to start.

2. Check up on friends and relatives

Thank God for cellphones, WhatsApp and Facebook. Without much to do, this could be the perfect time to check up on family and friends. They might even be down with the coronavirus. While we are in quarantine, take time to look up family and friends and long lost connections.

  1. Write a journal

There never was time for keeping a diary, with places to rush to and things to catch up on. Now, there is lots of time to keep a journal. I have always wanted to have a gratitude journal, will start tonight. All I have to do is list 5 things I am grateful for. Still lots of time for other things!

  1. Write poetry or short stories

How about writing a collection of poetry or short stories? You could write one poem or two a day. By the time the pandemic is over, who knows, you could even publish a book!

  1. Watch television or listen to the radio

How about the good old television? Or even listen to the radio! There are lots of movies and soapies on television. If you can afford Netflix and DSTV or YouTube, then good for you!
